Join us for the NC State Annual Singing Convention June 26-27, 2026 in Benson, NC!

The State Annual Singing Convention, which brings thousands of people to Benson each year, began modestly in a tobacco warehouse in 1921. About 200 people listened to two choirs that day. Since that time, the State Annual Singing Convention has grown and become one of the largest and oldest gospel sings in the United States.

Some seating is provided; however, spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. There is no charge to attend the Sing. Singing begins at 10a.m. Saturday and the Worship Service will begin at 10:30a.m. on Sunday.

The Gospel Museum is open and free to the public on Saturday and Sunday. There is plenty of lodging in the area. Ample parking for buses is designated behind the stage area.

LOCATION

The singing is held outdoors in downtown Benson in a beautiful one-block oak grove located at 400 E Main St, Benson, NC 27504. Some seating is provided; however, spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. There is no charge to attend the Sing. Singing begins at 10a.m. Saturday and the Worship Service will begin at 10:30a.m. on Sunday.

The Board of Directors is delighted to have you attend the 105th State Annual Singing Convention beginning on Friday, June 26, 2026, through Saturday, June 27, 2026. We praise God in song through those who have been given a talent and make available a venue for all to enjoy Southern Gospel Music.

Plans are in place for a weekend full of gospel music that will be second to none!  The purpose of the Sing is, always has been and always will be, to praise God for His love and mercy. God has richly blessed this event for 105 years, and we look forward to you joining us as the entire weekend as a body of Christians united together in one place for the sole purpose of glorifying God through song.

The Board of Directors welcomes everyone to this year’s Sing and extends a special invitation to the groups that have faithfully supported our event that the weekend will rejuvenate you and invigorate your ministry. Let’s fill the Signing Grove with people who love joyful gospel music and who want to gather with a community of believers to glorify our Lord and Savior. Mark your calendars and join us in Benson for the 105th State Annual Singing Convention.
